The successful applicant would have retail experience and a love for customer service. They must be able to work 3-4 days a week and be available on weekends as the store is open 7 days per week.

We aren’t the only ones feeling this wintery weather – Siamese fighting fish are too!! Over the last few weeks many people have been noticing their fighting fish looking lethargic, dull and losing their appetite. Siamese fighting fish do need to be in slightly warm water. Ideally their water should be about 22 degrees Celsius. If your fighting fish is looking under the weather feel welcome to bring in a water sample for a free water test and have a chat about ways to keep your fish warmer this winter.

Even though its chilly out, we still need to keep our pets in tip top condition. After a crazy day at work it always tops it off to come home and find your Fido friend in his newly dug trench. Little do most pet owners realise is that whilst you have been out all day, he has been at home BORED and craving something to do. Most of the time dogs dig to satisfy boredom ( or find that treat they buried 8 months before hand).
There are a few things that we can do to help your pet stay mentally stimulated whilst we are away. Toys are vital!! Try changing your dogs existing toys by filling them with different flavoured treats, pop them in the freezer and rotate between a selection of toys each day so he isn’t seeing the same ones day in and out. Kongs, Busy Buddy, squeaky toys, balls and even his very own play sand pit are all wonderful tools that can be used to keep your dogs mind busy.
Repellent sprays and granules are available to help keep pooch out areas and pot plants.

To ensure your reptile glows with health, it is very important to keep their UV globes / tubes current! Even though the globes are illuminating doesn’t not necessarily mean they are emitting the required UV rays if they have been in use for over 12 months. Without the proper UV lighting, your reptile may not be able to digest and utilise their food properly. Over time this can become a major threat to your reptiles health. Each year, freshen your globes and this will help keep your reptile in tip top condition.
