When we have our lunch we usually have an assortment of different foods. A sandwich for example, two slices of bread with an assortment of goodies in the middle. Carrot, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, capsicum with some cold meat. YUMMO –and its healthy for us. Variety is the key to a healthy diet. Remember back in primary school when we all first met the healthy food pyramid?

Feeding a bird on a seed only diet is not only one very high in oils but also like us living on bread and pasta our entire lives –nothing else. While it is necessary to have it in our diets, there are other things required to make it a balanced diet. Birds need vegetables and fruits supplied with their seed to complete a healthy diet. Some species more than others. Come in and have a chat about your birds diet with our friendly staff.

Feeding Crickets to your Pet

Did you know that feeding crickets alone without any calcium supplements can be dangerous for your reptile? Crickets are very high in phosphorus. Without calcium your reptiles bone density may be affected and can cause skeletal problems. Come in and have a chat with our team about it.

Beautiful Beagle!

We have a BEAUTIFUL beagle in need of a loving family! He loves his food and is doing well with his lead training. He is learning to sit and has a ball running around with us on a lead. Although it will be terrible to see him go, he is in need of a yard and extra large cuddles. If you think you could be the one, come in and see him in Balcatta. We are open until 5pm today and from 8am til 5pm tomorrow.

Ragdoll X Kitten!

We have a little man looking for a new family! He is black and white and adorable! He had his first vaccine this morning and was wormed and treated for fleas on Wednesday. He is all set to investigate the world and find his new home!
